The Niagara Purple Eagles hockey team split last weekend's non-conference series at Dwyer Arena, taking a 4-3 overtime victory at the final buzzer over the RPI Engineers before a 5-1 loss to the Union Dutchmen. This week, Niagara heads to Sacred Heart for two games in Atlantic Hockey play against the Pioneers, who are coming off of a split of two road games against nationally-ranked Notre Dame.

Opening faceoff between the Purple Eagles and Pioneers is set for 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 and 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Jeremy White has the play-by-play call for both games on WLVL 1340 AM, and live streams are available through AtlanticHockey.tv.

• Johnny Curran scored twice and Noah Delmas gave Niagara a 3-0 lead early in the third period against RPI, but the Engineers were able to eliminate the deficit and tie the game with 1:45 to play.
