Hockey Unveils 2026-27 Schedule

Niagara University, N.Y.—Niagara hockey head coach Jason Lammers announced the Purple Eagles schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season on Wednesday. The schedule features 10 non-conference matchups, and 24 Atlantic Hockey America contests.

The Purple Eagles open the season at home as they take on RIT Oct. 2 in a home and home series with the Tigers heading to Rochester on Oct. 3.

Niagara heads on the road for their first non-conference games taking on Notre Dame Oct. 8-9 before heading to Ohio to face Bowling Green Oct. 16-17.

The Purple and White return home Oct. 23-24 to face Union in their first non-conference home matchups before returning to the road to wrap up the month of October at Clarkson on the 30th and 31st.

Niagara opens the month of November heading back into conference play taking on Holy Cross Nov. 13-14 followed by three games against Battle of the Bridge rival Canisius at home Nov. 20 and 24 while heading to Buffalo Nov. 21.

The Purple Eagles begin a six game road swing to end November heading to Pennsylvania to face Robert Morris Nov. 28-29. The Purple and White open December with two games at Air Force on the 4th and the 5th before heading to RIT Nov. 12.

After the winter break Niagara returns to take on Penn State on New Year's Eve in a home and home series with the Nittany Lions coming to Dwyer Arena to open the new year Jan. 2.

Niagara continues the month of January at home with Bentley on the 8th and 9th followed by two road games against Holy Cross Jan. 15-16. A weekend series against Air Force on the 22nd and 23rd wraps up January.

The Purple and White begin the final month of the regular season heading to West Point to take on Army Feb. 4-5 before returning home to face Sacred Heart Feb. 19-20.

The Purple Eagles wrap up the regular season with a home contest on Feb. 25 against RIT and a road game at Battle of the Bridge rival Canisius Feb. 26.

The Atlantic Hockey playoffs begin on March 2 with the First Round with the Championship being played March 20.
