Before beginning on a three-game homestand, the Niagara Purple Eagles will head to Saint Peter's for a Saturday matinee on January 21.
 
Scene Setter
•  The Purple Eagles are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Saint Peter's and are 6-4 in their last 10 visits to the Yanitelli Center.
•  The Purple Eagles and Peacocks have alternated victories in the last six meetings.
•  Chris Casey was an assistant coach at Saint Peter's from 1990-98 where he helped the Peacocks to the 1991 and 1995 MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. Casey is 3-3 against Saint Peter's as head coach at Niagara.
 
Tipoff Tidbits
•  In Niagara's last outing, two Purple Eagles had 20-point games for the third time this season. Matt Scott led NU with 22 points while Kahlil Dukes chipped in 21 points. Scott leads the MAAC with nine 20-point games while Dukes is second on the team with six 20-point games as Niagara boasts the only duo with at least six 20-point games.
•  Kahlil Dukes is first the MAAC and is FIFTH in the nation in free-throw percentage (.930).
•  Dominic Robb leads the MAAC and is 22nd in the nation with 2.47 blocks per game while also leading the MAAC and is 19th in the nation in total blocks (47). 
•  Marvin Prochet is tied for fifth in the MAAC in blocks per game (1.42) and has 27 this season, surpassing his freshman total of 25.
•  In the last six games, Dominic Robb is averaging 11.5 points per game, including scoring in double figures in five of the six games. Robb is bringing down 8.2 rebounds per game and averaging 2.5 blocks per game during this stretch. Robb notched consecutive double-doubles with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds at Manhattan on January 10th, followed by 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds versus Monmouth on January 14th.  Robb grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds versus Marist on Jan. 16 to have three straight games with double-digit rebounds and had three blocks to have four straight games with at least three blocks.
•  Niagara made 15 3-pointers against Monmouth on January 14. The 15 3-pointers are the most since draining 16 3-pointers at Oregon State to open the 2012-13 season. The 15 3-pointers are tied for third most in program history and are tied for the second most in the MAAC this season.
• Niagara leads the MAAC in blocked shots per game (5.1), total blocks (97), and 3-point field goal percentage (.387) and is second in free throw shooting percentage (.752).

•  Junior guard Matt Scott is approaching the 1,000-Point Club at Niagara University.
•  Scott is 62 points away from becoming the 46th member of the club.

On The Court
Saint Peter's Peacocks (10-8, 6-2 MAAC)
•  Saint Peter's has won four straight games, which has propelled the Peacocks to a first-place tie in the conference with Monmouth.
•  Two Peacocks are averaging in double figures - Quadir Welton (12.7 ppg) and Trevis Wyche (11.4 ppg).
•  Saint Peter's ranks first in the MAAC in scoring defense (63.8 ppg.), 3-point field goal defensive percentage (.314) and second in steals per game (7.4)
