Metro Conference Announces 2026-27 Men's Basketball Conference Slate

EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Conference announced the 2026-27 men's basketball schedule Thursday morning.

Niagara will play a total of 20 league games with two games against eight of its 12 conference opponents while playing Sacred Heart, Siena, Manhattan and Fairfield once.

The Purple and White's league schedule starts at home Dec. 4 against Mount St. Mary's and Dec. 6 against Rider. Niagara then opens up the month of January on the road against Sacred Heart on Jan. 1 before facing Marist Jan. 3.

The Purple Eagles return home for two contests against Iona (Jan. 8), Saint Peter's (Jan. 10), before heading back to the road Jan. 16 to take on Quinnipiac and Jan. 18 to face Merrimack.

Niagara returns home Jan. 22 to face Siena before taking on Battle of the Bridge rival Canisius Jan. 24 in the first of two matchups with the longtime rival. The Purple and White wrap up the month of January with two road contests against Manhattan (Jan. 29) and Saint Peter's (Jan. 31).

The Purple Eagles then begin a two game homestand to start February facing Marist (Feb. 5) and Quinnipiac (Feb. 7), before their second matchup against Battle of the Bridge rival Canisius (Feb. 11) in Buffalo.

The Purple and White take a trip to New Rochelle on Feb. 13 to take on Iona before returning home to face Merrimack (Feb. 19) and Fairfield (Feb. 21) in their final home conference contests of the season.

The Purple Eagles head on the road for the final time during the regular season to wrap up the season Feb. 26 to face Rider and Feb. 28 to take on Mount St. Mary's.

The MAAC Men's Basketball Tournament will once again take place in Atlantic City, N.J. March 4-9.
