BROOKLYN – The Niagara Purple Eagles pulled out a 4-3 win over the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers for their first win of the season.
Niagara (1-4) won the doubles point after the No. 1 tandem of
Felipe Fuentes and
Francis Nadeau won 6-1.
The Purple Eagles needed only two wins in singles as St. Francis Brooklyn (0-6) did not have a singles player in the sixth spot.
NU got the two wins it need. Nadeau defeated Milos Vukicevic, 6-0, 6-2, in No. 3 singles and
Mark Mackowski topped Michael Sparacino, 7-6, 1-6, 6-4 in No. 5 singles.
