The No. 4 seed Niagara Purple Eagles will play top-seeded Monmouth in the 2015 MAAC Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, N.J.
First Serve- The Purple Eagles (6-9, 4-3 MAAC) enter the MAAC Tournament winners of two of their last three matches.
- NU has won at least four conference matches in four straight seasons and in nine of the last 13 seasons.
Across The Net- Niagara and Monmouth (14-8, 7-0 MAAC) will meet in the postseason for the second straight season.
- The third-seeded Purple Eagles fell 4-2 to the second-seeded Hawks on April 26.
- The Purple Eagles have lost all three meetings against the Hawks since Monmouth joined the MAAC, including a 5-2 defeat on April 4.
Match Points- Olivier Dufour-Coursol leads the team in wins with a 13-6 record and is on a three-match winning streak at three singles.
- Michael Elortegui and Rares Ispas are also on win streaks of three matches.
- David Raymond had a team-best 5-2 MAAC record at four singles.
- The No. 1 doubles duo of Inaki Belloso and Elortegui is a team-best 15-10 and enter the tournament on a three-match winning streak.
- The No. 3 team of Dufour-Coursol and Ispas went 5-1 in MAAC matches.
