NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. – The Niagara men's tennis team fell to the Cleveland State Vikings, 7-0, on Friday night.
NU (2-4) narrowly dropped the doubles point to open the match. The No. 1 team of
Inaki Belloso and
Michael Elortegui was edged by Ali Shabib and Nolan Marks, 7-6(5). The No. 3 duo of
Rares Ispas and
Francis Nadeau was clipped by Joe Vanmeter and Colton Buffington, 7-6(3).
Belloso was the only Purple Eagle to pick up a set in singles falling to Jorg van der Vloet, 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 in No. 2 singles.
NU is back at SportsPlex against IPFW on Friday, March 6 at 1 p.m.
