Box Score
BOSTON – The Niagara Purple Eagles fell 7-0 in the final game of their series against the Northeastern Huskies on Sunday afternoon.

Drew Fittry started for Niagara (4-13) and opened the game with three scoreless innings. The redshirt-junior didn't give up a hit until the bottom of the third and when Northeastern (7-8) was able to get on the scoreboard with a three-run fourth inning, the Purple Eagles responded with a three-up, three-down showing in the bottom of the fifth.

The Huskies added two runs in the sixth and seventh innings and were able to keep the Purple Eagles at bay on the way to the 7-0 win.

Niagara threatened to score several times throughout the game. Beginning in the third inning when Geoff Seto advanced to third on a SAC-bunt, then in the sixth inning when Anthony Firenzi got on with a single and Joel Klock got on base with a walk to put two runners on with one out, and in the top of the seventh when Pavel Chavez-Rusova led off with a double, but on each occasion weren't able to bring a run across the plate.

Fittry took the loss for Niagara. Jacob Lysiak  and Geoff Soja each pitched an inning out of the bullpen in relief.

Niagara is back in action on Tuesday when it travels to St. Bonaventure to take on the Bonnies in a doubleheader that begins at 1:00 p.m. It is the team's final tune-up before the first MAAC series of the season.
