The Niagara men's tennis team will play its first dual match of the 2013-14 season on Sunday against the Army Black Knights.
NU had a strong fall season, which included a program's first when the Purple Eagles placed two doubles teams in the main with one of them earning a seed at the USTA/ITA Regionals.
The Purple Eagles return the core of the squad that went 14-10 last season and advanced to the MAAC Tournament Semifinals.
However, it is newcomer Inaki Belloso who has a team-best 9-2 record in singles. Olivier Dufour-Coursol is second on the team in wins with seven, while there are three other Purple Eagles with at least six wins. In doubles, the team of Mathieu Lacasse and Lorenz Schwojer has team-best 7-2 record and is on a five-match winning streak.
