	NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – The Niagara baseball team was edged by Saint Peter’s after the Peacocks rallied late in the game to come away with an 8-6 win on Sunday afternoon at Sal Maglie Stadium.
	 
	Saint Peters (19-28, 9-9 MAAC) hit three doubles in the top of the third to open the scoring and take a 4-0 lead but Niagara (19-26, 7-12 MAAC) rallied quickly and took the lead soon thereafter.  The Purple Eagles cut the deficit to one run in the bottom of the third with a pair of runs came on a throwing error before 
Ryan McCauley brought around 
Adam Wagner to make the score 4-3. 
	 
	In the following inning 
Eric Hink collected a pair of RBIs with a single through the right side to give NU the 5-4 lead.
	 
	The Peacocks rallied in the top of the sixth with a pair of RBI doubles and fielder’s choice take a 7-6 lead.  The teams traded runs in the seventh and eighth as 
Jordan Schwartz cut the deficit to one in the last of the seventh before an RBI-double gave the Peacocks their final 8-6 lead.
	 
	
Joel Klock started the game for the Purple Eagles and received a no decision, giving up five runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings pitched.  
Matt Munson received the loss out of the bullpen.  Hink and 
Wynton Bernard both went 2-for-4 at the plate with Hink adding two RBIs.  Bernard stole a pair of basses for 33 on the year and get within two of the program’s all-time single season record.
	 
	The Purple Eagles are back on the field on Thursday, May 17 for a senior day doubleheader against Little Three rival Canisius, with first pitch at noon.
