The Niagara men’s and women’s tennis teams will start their weekend homestand on Friday at 3 p.m. when the men’s team host Duquesne at the Niagara Tennis Courts.
Both programs will face non-conference opposition to wrap up their home schedule. The Niagara men (6-6) will play Duquesne on Friday, St. Joseph’s on Satuday and Mercyhurst on Monday while the women’s team (4-10) will host St. Joseph’s on Saturday, Mercyhurst on Monday and St. Bonaventure on Wednesday.

Brandon Gallegos are tied for second with a 7-5 mark in singles.
The women’s squad split a pair of MAAC matches on the road last weekend. The Purple Eagles collected their first conference win of the season with a 5-2 win over Siena before being edged 4-3 by defending champion Marist.
Ashley Ta (9-5) extended her unbeaten streak in singles and doubles to eight matches and was named MAAC Player of the Week for going 4-0 against Siena and Marist.

Maria Ortiz leads the team with an 11-3 record.
