SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Niagara Purple Eagles cruised to their third conference win of the season with a resounding 6-1 victory over Siena on Friday.
“I was happy with the way the guys approached today’s match,” head coach
Anthony Nguyen said. “We had slow starts on some courts, but were able to right the ship and take care of business. Marist poses a challenge for the team and the guys are excited about competing tomorrow.”
Niagara (6-5, 3-1 MAAC) swept all three doubles matches to open the match with scores of 8-4, 8-4, and 8-1.

David Lemieux-Sarrasin battled their way through three-set wins while
Brandon Gallegos (6-2, 6-4),
Olivier Dufour-Coursol (6-0, 6-0) and
Lorenz Schwojer (6-1, 6-0) breezed to straight wins.
The Purple Eagles will face Marist on Saturday at 10 a.m.
