NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara women’s lacrosse team dropped a 19-5 decision to the Duquesne Dukes on Friday at Niagara Field.
"This game definitely was a tough loss...it wasn't anywhere close to what we know the team can do," head coach
Amber Hill said. "Right now we'll keep chipping away at what we need to work on and hope that the next game our players can adjust, implement better and play with more heart than the past five games."
Niagara (1-4) trailed 2-1 after a goal by
Maria Battista 2:18 into the game and played Duquesne (5-3) evenly for the next five minutes. However, the Dukes scored five straight goals to take a 7-1 lead.
