Biography

Why Niagara?: "I chose Niagara because of its close location to home and its excellent academic programs. Niagara also gives me the opportunity to play Division I lacrosse."

On the Field: Earned MAAC All-Academic honors in 2010 and 2011... A 2008 Academic All-American honoree...Named to the All-MAAC Second Team in 2011...Played and started in 14 games notching a career-high 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points...Played and started in 11 games as a sophomore, collecting nine goals, three assists and 12 points...Saw action in 12 games during the 2009 season...Had four goals, one assist, and six caused turnovers on the season...Scored a career-high two points against Buffalo State...Scored in three of her last five games to end the 2009 season.

Personal: Born in Lake View, N.Y....Daughter of Kevin and Debbie Karek...Has a younger sister, Courtney...Majoring in computer science...Has a 4.21 grade-point average.
