WATERLOO, CANADA - The Niagara swimming and diving teams dropped a dual meet to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon, with the men's team dropping a 170-92 decision and the women's team dropping a 132-130 decision.
In the tightly contested women's event, sophomore Lindsey Jackson won the 1,000 yard free event (11:03.74) and the 200 yard IM event (2:16.26), while Julia Bulmahn took top honors in the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.38) and 200 yard backstroke (2:16.33). Freshman Erica Crane was the top finisher in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:10.23), while Ashley Harrington took first place in the 100 yard butterfly event (1:01.43) and the 200 yard butterfly event ( 2:16.02).
In the men's event, Kevin Jennings took top honors in the 50 yard freestyle (22.16)and finished tied for first place in the 100 yard free (49.34) with teammate Evinn Drusys. Freshman Alex Siuda took second place in the 200 yard backstroke event (2:00.84), while Scott Page took second place honors in the 200 yard breaststroke event (2:19.37).
Niagara is back in action on Dec. 3, when they compete in day one of the Zippy Invitational, hosted by Akron.
