Pleasantville, NY- Sophomore shortstop Reed Eastley (Manitoba, BC) lead the Purple Eagles (9-8) to a 12-7 victory over Pace University (3-9) as he compiled a season high four hits.
Niagara wasted no time as they scored three runs in the first inning and would never look back as they scored seven runs in the first three innings. Freshman pitcher Kyle Nicolleta (Oakville, Ont.) started his first collegian game as he allowed only one run in three innings of work.
Steve Taylor (Syracuse, NY) would receive the win as he allowed two runs in three innings of work. Having multi hit games for the Purple Eagles were Reed Eastley 4, Josh McCurdy 3 (Thornhill, Ont.), Vince Ircandia 3 (Calgary, Alberta), and Greg Lehman 2 (Crogan, NY). Vince Ircandia had three stolen bases as the Purple Eagles combined for seven total stolen bases in the game.
The Diamond men head back to action this Saturday as they take on conference rival Fairfield.
