Men's Basketball Finalizes 2025-26 Roster

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Niagara men's basketball head coach Greg Paulus has finalized the program's 2025-26 roster with the addition of 8 transfers and 1 freshman.

"I am excited to welcome these nine student-athletes to our basketball program. Our staff was intentional in recruiting individuals who embody the values of Niagara University and our program—high-character, development-focused student-athletes who are committed to pursuing excellence both individually and collectively. I look forward to the positive impact they will make on campus, in the community, and within our basketball program."

Reggie Prudhomme | Graduate | Guard | 6-0 | Missouri City, TX | Cameron

Prudhomme is a 6-0 guard who played the 2024-25 season at Cameron (Division II) where he appeared in 28 games with 27 starts. He averaged 9.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He ended the season with 15 games in double figures, with a season high 20 points against Oklahoma Christian.

Coach Paulus on Prudhomme: "Reggie is a dynamic guard that was one of the top assist leaders in Division II. He takes pride in competing every possession and creating opportunities for his teammates."

Brian Griffith | Junior | Guard | 5-10 | Owensboro, KY | Coffeyville

Griffith arrives on Monteagle Ridge after spending his sophomore campaign at Coffeyville (NJCAA). As a Red Raven, Griffith played in 32 games, starting 28, averaging 17.1 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per contest while earning First Team All-KJCCC. He ended the season with 18+ points in eight straight games, and 25 games with double digit points. Griffith recorded a season-high 34 points against Butler Community College on Feb. 20.

Coach Paulus on Griffith: "BG's development from year 1 to year 2 at one of the top Junior College programs in the country was impressive. He has the ability to make plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands."

Trenton Walters | Junior | Guard | 5-9 | Frisco, TX | Indian Hills

Walters played his sophomore season at Indian Hills (NJCAA) where he appeared in 32 games, making 29 starts for the #3 nationally ranked Warriors. In 2024-25 he averaged 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting over 41 percent from the 3pt line. He started his career at Radford where he appeared in 33 games.

Coach Paulus on Walters: "Trenton is a connector. His quickness and understanding of how to play stand out. He was the leader at one of the top Junior College programs in the country, and guided his team to the national tournament."

Josiah Sabino | Junior | Wing | 6-4 | Jacksonville, Fla. | Garden City CC

Sabino comes to Niagara after playing the 2024-25 season at Garden City CC (NJCAA). While with the Broncbusters, Sabino played in 30 games, making 16 starts and averaging 11.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor and over 38 percent from three. He scored a career-high 24 points against Independence Community College on Dec. 4. In 2023-24 he played at Jacksonville University where he appeared in 19 contests, starting three.

Coach Paulus on Sabino: "Jojo is a physical player who will do whatever the team needs to help them be successful. He is a terrific rebounder and impacts winning in a variety of ways."

Drew Larson | Junior | Forward | 6-7 | Ft Collins, Co. | Northwest

Larson comes to Monteagle Ridge after playing his first two seasons for Northwest College (NJCAA). During his tenure with the Trappers, Larson appeared in 63 games, starting 56, averaging 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. As a sophomore Larson recorded a career-high 30 points against Laramie County Community College on Jan. 24.

Coach Paulus on Larson: "Drew's effort and being a great teammate are off the charts. He can space the floor from the front court and knows how to play."

Vice Zanki | Junior | Forward | 6-8 | Zagreb, Croatia | Eastern Washington

Zanki, a 6-foot-8 forward from Croatia, comes to Niagara from Eastern Washington where he played in 46 games during his two seasons with the Eagles. He averaged 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds per contest during his sophomore campaign. The Croatian product scored a career-high 14 points against Weber State on Feb. 1.

Coach Paulus on Zanki: "Vice brings a lot of experience from his first two years in college. His size and skillset bring versatility to play multiple positions and impact the game both offensively and defensively." 

Justin Hawkins | Senior | Forward | 6-7 | Willingboro, NJ | Thomas Jefferson

Hawkins is a forward from Willingboro, N.J., and played his first three seasons at Thomas Jefferson University (DII). While a member of the Rams, Hawkins appeared in 76 games, starting 37 while averaging 8.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He set career-highs in all statistical categories during his junior season in 2024-25, averaging 16.2 points per game, while shooting 50.3 percent from the field and over 35 percent from three.

Coach Paulus on Hawkins: "Justin brings leadership to this group. His recognition of how to play and fundamentals helped him have a very productive first three years of college." 

Kabeya Tshibangu | Redshirt Senior | Center | 6-9 | Justin, TX | Northwestern Oklahoma State

Tshibangu played the last two seasons at Northwestern Oklahoma State (DII) appearing in 49 games, including 48 starts. As a Ranger, Tshibangu averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He recorded a career-high 14 rebounds against Southeastern Oklahoma on Dec. 16.

Coach Paulus on Tshibangu: "KT's positive energy and motor are contagious. His ability to play above the rim and guard multiple positions on the defensive end gives our team a different dynamic.

Gael Dalmau | Freshman | Guard | 6'6 | Guaynabo, Puerto Rico | Prestige WorldWide Sports Academy

Dalmau is a freshman Guard from Puerto Rico. Before coming to Monteagle Ridge he attended Central Pointe Christian, while also playing for Prestige WorldWide Sports Academy. While at Central Pointe he averaged 21 points, 7.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Coach Paulus on Gael: "Gael loves the game and comes from a basketball family. He is a big, skilled, guard who uses his size and IQ to see and read the game."
