Niagara University, NY - Niagara head coach Jada Pierce announced today that Jisca Bila, Kenedie Haruna and Katarina Veljovic have all committed to join the Purple Eagles women's basketball program for the 2025-26 season.
Bila comes to Niagara after attending Royal Crown School in Toronto, Ontario. A 5'7" guard, Biles hailes from Ottawa, Ontario and was named a Biosteel All Canadian Games Nominee in 2024 and 2025.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jisca to our Purple Eagle family! She is a smart, athletic guard that competes at a high level and makes winning plays for herself and teammates."
Veljovic is a 5'9" guard from Mississauga, Ontario. Veljovic also played at Royal Crown School last season. She was named the 2021-22 Canletes Tournament MVP as well as being a 2024-25 Grind Session Champion and the North Pole Hoops Champion in 2024-25.

Haruna heads to Monteagle Ridge from Montreal, Quebec where she played at Vanier College. Haruna is a 6'0" forward and was named RSEQ First Team All Star in 2023-24 and Second Team All Star in 2024-25. She was also named the 2024 Gamepoint Rising Stars All Star Game MVP.Â
