Niagara University, NY - Four members of the Niagara women's Lacrosse program were given all conference honors the MAAC announced on Thursday.
Sydney Huhtala was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-MAAC First Team honors. Maddy Gill was also named to the All-MAAC First Team. Michaela Delles and Haley Terry were named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
Huhtala led the MAAC with 3.88 ground balls per game and 3.41 caused turnovers per game. Gill led the Purple Eagles and the conference in goals with 51, while also leading the team in points with 56. Delles recorded 36 goals and six assists for 42 points, while Terry started every game for Niagara this season ending with a 5-3 conference record with 159 saves.
The MAAC also announced the All-Academic teams which saw a total 18 Purple Eagles be named.
