The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Announced its 2025-26 Preseason Coaches' Poll Wednesday morning. The Purple Eagles were picked second to defend their championship for the men's and women's swim championships. Fairfield was picked first on both the men's and women's side recording 74 points with four first place votes and 134 with five first place votes respectively.
The men collected 70 points, earning two first place votes. In the 2025 the men's team recorded (653.5 points) for their first MAAC title since 1994, edging out runner-up Marist by 32 points.
Lance Cruz won the MAAC Swimming Rookie of the Meet.
On the women's side, the Purple Eagles earned 131 points, earning four first place votes. The women recorded (766 points) to capture their second straight championship and third in four years. The women dominated the championships beating second place Fairfield by 169 points. The Purple Eagles quartet of Natilie Killion,

Mary Carl broke the MAAC's Record for 800 Freestyle Relay (7:23.19). Killion also broke the 500 Free with a time of 4:48.18, 200 Free (1:48.20) and 200 Back (1:55.90).
Alaina Pitton broke the 200 Breast with a time of 2:14.42. Killion won MAAC Most Outstanding Swimmer and
Martina Divis co-won the MAAC Swimming Rookie of the Meet.
The 2026 MAAC Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving Championships is a four-day meet that will take place February 11-14, 2026, and will be hosted at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. 2026 will mark the third straight year the championships are hosted at Spire.
