Alex Murray were named Atlantic Hockey America Goalie and Defenseman of the Week, respectively, after leading the Purple Eagles to a weekend sweep of Bentley.

Charleson stopped 70 of 74 shots in the two-game series, posting a .946 save percentage and 1.94 goals-against average. The netminder made several key saves as Niagara earned a 3-2 overtime victory on Friday before completing the sweep with a 4-2 win on Saturday.

Murray anchored the Purple Eagles' defensive effort with six blocked shots while adding two assists. The blueliner helped Niagara's defense hold Bentley to just four goals despite facing 74 shots over the two games.

Niagara improved to 10-8-3 overall on the season and 9-4-2 in conference play with the sweep of the Falcons.

The Purple Eagles return to the ice this Friday for a 6 p.m. contest with Alaska Anchorage, followed by a Saturday tilt at 7 p.m. with the Seawolves.
