NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Niagara men's soccer head coach Bill Boyle has announced Cameron Roach, Jamie Barry, and Landon Hungerford as team captains for 2024.
 
"Cam has become a great example of what we want as a Purple Eagle. The guys respect him as he walks the walk, and he always puts the work in," Boyle noted. "Landon compliments our leadership trio perfectly as a guy that is willing to play anywhere and do whatever is asked of him to help us succeed.  While Jamie has become the final piece joining Cam and Landon to help set the standard of Niagara men's soccer.  The captains understand their importance,  have the respect of the team and we are fortunate to have them wear the C!"
 
Roach is entering his fourth season as a Purple Eagle in 2024, playing in 34 games and making 23 stars over the last two season. The Marysville, Ontario native has played in 2195 minutes in his career recording one goal and one assist.
 
Hungerford is in his fourth season on Montealge Ridge and took major strides in 2023, playing and starting all 17 games for the Purple and White, totaling over 1400 minutes on the pitch, after playing in only nine games prior to his junior season.
 
Barry, a junior, has played in over 2000 minutes in goal for Niagara entering this season, recording 103 saves and five clean sheets. He has a career .741 save percentage and 1.60 goals against average.
 
Niagara opens the 2024 season on Thursday, Aug. 22 with a 6 p.m. home match against UAlbany.
