Men’s Soccer Season Concludes Against Fairfield

Fairfield, C.T. – Four straight goals from Fairfield help prevail them past Niagara 4-1 in the First Round of the MAAC Championship at Lessing Field in Fairfield, C.T.
 
Fairfield recorded three goals in the first half in the 12th, 18th and 23rd minute of action respectively to take a 3-0 lead heading into the break. Despite the scoresheet not being in Purple Eagles favor they recorded four shots on goal in hopes of a comeback.
 
In the 55th minute of action Fairfield recorded their final goal of the contest.
 
Landon Hungerford put Niagara on the score sheet in the 75th minute of action. Hungerford was just inside penalty area as he beat the Fairfield goalkeeper on the bottom right side of the cage.
 
Despite getting on the scoreboard along with adding four more shots on goal the comeback fell short for Niagara as they fell 4-1.

• Niagara is now 6-17-1 all-time against Fairfield
• Niagara is now 0-3 against Fairfield in the MAAC Championships
• Hungerford added his second goal of the season
• Niagara finished the season 8-7-1, the last time the team had a record above .500 was in 2021 season where they went 5-3
