NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Niagara athletics will have six programs in action this week, including home events for women's soccer and men's soccer on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

• The Purple and White will host Cornell Thursday night at 7 p.m., followed by a road match against Cleveland State on Sunday, Sept. 4.
• Niagara picked up their first win of the season on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 result over Navy in Annapolis, Md.
•Sophomore goalkeeper Felicia Grufman picked up her first clean sheet of the season with a five save performance against Navy.
• Amanda Cripps and Emma Bough lead NU with one goal apiece, while Bough leads the team with three points.

• The Purple Eagles will host Dartmouth on Friday for their home opener. Kickoff between Niagara and the Ivy League foe is set for 7 p.m. at Niagara Field.
• Niagara is 0-2 on the season after dropping both games of its California road trip.
• Rodrigo Almeida and Federico Cugge found the back of the net on set pieces in NU's 3-2 loss to SMC.

• The Purple and White will travel to Fordham for the Rose Hill Classic, Friday, Sept. 2 and Saturday, Sept. 3. Niagara will take on Fordham, FDU and Penn.
• Niagara went 1-2 at the Hofstra Invitational this past weekend, picking up a sweep of Bryant.
• Senior Taylor Allen was named to the Hofstra Invitational All-Tournament Team.

• Niagara opens the fall portion of its schedule on Tuesday with a trip to Olean, NY for the Little Three Championship.

• The Purple Eagles head to Youngstown Saturday, Sept. 3 for the YSU kickoff. The event will take place at the Mill Creek Golf Course.

• Niagara men's and women's cross country opens the season with the annual Little Three Championships.
• This year's event will be hosted in Olean, N.Y., by St. Bonaventure.
• The Purple and White were selected 10th in both the men's and women's MAAC Preseason Coaches' Polls.
