NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its Academic Honor Squads and Academic Honor Roll for the 2022 season Monday afternoon.
For the ninth consecutive season (excluding 2020*) Niagara earned IWLCA Academic Honor Squad recognition after posting a 3.45 team GPA for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
A total of 14 Purple Eagles earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll;
Mackenzie Bushnell,
Rachel Crane,
Brenna Duffy,
Lois Garlow,
Maren Geiger,
Mickey Knapp,
Allison McCormick,
Michelle Messenger,
Lucy Rugaber,
Cierra Scheik,
Kendall Schneider,
Gabriella Tambroni,
Rachel Wager, and
Eliza Wild. To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll an individual most have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
*The IWLCA did not issue Academic Awards for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic as much of the membership moved to a pass/fail system for the spring semester.
