The Niagara University Purple Eagles begin their quest for a MAAC Championship against the four-time defending champions Monmouth Hawks on Friday at 5 p.m.
 
Scene Setter
  • The Purple Eagles clinched a spot in the MAAC Championships with a resounding 6-3 victory over Canisius on April 6. Kelsey Araujo and Djeynaba Thiam each netted a brace as part of a season-high six goals and seven assists by the Purple Eagles.
  • Niagara and Monmouth will meet in the MAAC Tournament for the fourth straight season. Monmouth eliminated the Purple Eagles in the semifinals in 2018 and 2019, and in the quarterfinals in 2017.
