Sydney Sarkis have been named MAAC Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.
Wardner had a stellar start to her season with wins in four different events, including the 50 free, 100 free and 200 IM with times of 24.52, 53.33 and 2:10.90, respectively. The graduate student was also a member of the 400 free relay team that helped seal the win over Binghamton, with a time of 3:36.20.
Sydney Sarkis set a program record in the 1 meter dive with a score of 251.55, while finishing the 3 meter dive with a score of 215.40, defeating Siena's Talia Spenziero to aid in the Purple Eagles win over its MAAC rival.
Niagara is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 30 with a dual meet against Nazareth at the Oxy Aquatic Center.
