The Purple Eagles host the RIT Tigers on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 3:00 p.m. Niagara was originally scheduled to take on Canisius, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 protocol. NU's game against the Tigers will replace the game that was originally scheduled for Feb. 26.
Match-Up Preview

• The Purple Eagles played a home-and-home series with Mercyhurst Dec. 16 and Dec. 18. Niagara and Mercyhurst tied 3-3 in the game one, with the Lakers getting the extra point after a 2-1 shootout win. The Purple and White posted four first period goals in game two but fell to the Lakers by a final score of 7-4.

Walker Sommer became the first Purple Eagle to record a goal in back-to-back games this season as the redshirt-junior scored once Wednesday night and twice on Friday.
• Sommer's three goals has him tied for fifth in all of Atlantic Hockey.
• Niagara is led by junior
Ludwig Stenlund, who has collected five points (2 goals, 3 assists) through five games. The Skellefteå, Sweden, native tallied a goal and helped on another in the season opener against RIT.
