Men’s Soccer Adds Four To Roster

 
NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara Purple Eagles men's soccer head coach Bill Boyle announced the arrival of four players to the team's roster for the upcoming 2019 campaign. The moves follow the signing of the team's first commit in February and will be followed up by more additions at another date.
 
Hlaku Gay | Midfield | Rochester, NY | World of Inquiry School (P.S. 58) | Empire United Development Academy
  • Two-time Class B/B1 champion with World of Inquiry School.
  • Two-time state finalist with World of Inquiry School.
  • 2016 State Cup champion with Empire United.
 
"Hlaku is an Empire Developmental Academy player that adds another dangerous left-sided player."
 
 
Kyle Hofschneider | Forward | Buffalo, NY | Kenmore East Senior High | Empire United Development Academy
  • Two-time Niagara Frontier League (NFL) Player Of The Year.
  • Two-time All-Western New York selection.
  • 2018 United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-American.
  • 2018 USC All-New York State honoree (large schools).
  • 2018 USC All-East Region honoree.
  • 2018 Buffalo News All-NFL First Teamer.
  • Scored 18 goals and had 10 assists as a senior in 2018.
  • Invited to 2018 Exceptional Seniors Game.
 
"Kyle is also an Empire Developmental Academy player with great speed. He is only the eighth All-American out of Buffalo and will give us great options on the left side of the pitch."
 
 
Anton Mullen | Goalkeeper | Baldwinsville, NY | Herkimer CCC
  • 2018 Region IIIB Runner-up.
  • 2017 Region IIIB Champion.
  • 2017 third-place finish in NJCAA national tournament.
 
"Anton comes from BL Goalkeeping Academy and national power Herkimer as a junior to compete for our goalkeeping position as a junior."
 
 
Jayson Repine | Forward | Miami, FL | Belen Jesuit Prep School | Weston Developmental Academy
  • 2018 team captain.
  • 32 goals and 17 assists as a senior at Belen Jesuit (second-most in a single season in school history).
  • 2016 state champion.
  • Senior year played for Coral Estates Strickers and served as captain.
  • Played academy as a junior and was captain, scoring nine goals.
