Ann Arbor, MI – Two second-half goals from Michigan help them defeat Niagara 3-1 at the U-M Soccer Stadium in Ann Arbor, MI.
Niagara goes to 0-2-0 while Michigan goes to 1-0-1 on the season.
The Purple Eagles struck first in the second minute of action as
Tetsunari Fujishiro put one past the Wolverines' keeper Alen Bean in the bottom left part of the cage to give the Purple and White an early 1-0 lead.
Michigan knotted the game up at one in the 41st minute as Grayson Elmquist put his shot in the upper right-hand corner from Dylan Davis and Kian Concepcion to put the game at one apiece before the break.
The Wolverines took their first lead in the 54th minute of play as Concepcion recorded his third point of the match as he put one in the bottom right portion of the net from Joao Paulo Ramos to give Michigan a 2-1 lead.
Joah Reyna recorded Michigan's final goal as Nico Pendleton and Elmquist recorded the helpers on the goal in the 85th minute of action to give the Wolverines a 3-1 win.
Grant Wyles recorded seven saves for the Purple and White.
