The Niagara women's lacrosse team continues MAAC play with a road contest at Siena on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Niagara Notes
  • In its last outing, Niagara was tripped up, 13-10, by Fairfield at home.
  • MacCheyne continues to lead the Purple Eagles with 38 goals and 46 points. She also has a team-high 111 draw controls, 82 shots, and three man-up goals.
  • With 10 appearances on the year, Michelle Messenger's 13.70 is the best mark on the team.
  • On the season, the second half of games for Niagara have produced nearly identical results for the Purple Eagles as they have for opponents. 132 goals have been scored in the final 30 minutes of games, 66 by Niagara and 66 by the opposition. Niagara is outshooting teams, 174-172, posting more saves, 60-57, but is being outdone in shots on goal, 126-123.

  • Caroline Crump
    • Has 42 caused turnovers in her career, three away from joining the top 10 in program history.
    • Needs eight assists for 20 on the year, which will tie her personal record for the ninth-most successful season in that category.
  • Aubrey DeVeau
    • Needs five saves to tie Olivia Schneider (97) and enter Niagara's top 10.
  • Rachel MacCheyne
    • One more goal by MacCheyne will put her into the top 10 in terms of single-season scoring, tying her with Megan McNerney's 2001 total of 39.
    • Will become the program's all-time leading scorer by notching nine more goals.
    • Needs five more points to enter the top-10 most lucrative seasons in Niagara history.
    • One more draw control will give her the single most productive season ever by a Purple Eagle and surpass Alexandra Higgins' 2017 count (111).
    • 19 more draw controls will give MacCheyne the career record.
  • Amy McNally
    • Will become enter the top-10 for caused turnovers with five more.
  • Alexis Morales
    • Can move into sole possession of ninth-place all-time with five more points, passing Ashley Baker (125).
  • Lauren Paul
    • Is three caused turnovers away from tying Kara Martin's 2017 total of 20, which would vault her into the top 10 for a single season.
 
Scouting The Saints
  • Siena has won three of its last four games, but lost its last game against Manhattan, 8-6, on March 30.
  • Nicole McNeely has a team-high 26 goals and 42 points.
  • Kerry Gerety has won 60 draw controls, more than any other player on the Siena roster.
  • Sammy Horton has played all but nine minutes in net for the Saints and holds a 9.75 goals-against average and a .505 save percentage.
