The Niagara University and Fairfield women's lacrosse teams will meet at Niagara Field on Saturday in a MAAC contest with both squads participating in a program called Beads of Courage to share their personal strength and encouragement with hospitalized children.

About Beads Of Courage
  • Beads of Courage helps children with serious illness record, share, and own their stories of courage through the use of symbolic beads – courage they can touch.
  • The players have all carried a bead that will be given to a child along with a personal note of encouragement to let them know they are not in this fight alone. The Beads of Courage program is in over 400 hospitals throughout the world, as well as 12 hospitals right here in New York State.

  • MacCheyne leads the Purple Eagles with 37 goals and 41 points in 10 games. She also has 98 draw controls and 74 shots on net.
