The Niagara Purple Eagles will face the Iona Gaels on Sunday, February 10 at 1 p.m.
 
Scene Setter
•  NU will look to sweep the season series for the first time in 11 seasons after winning the first meeting between the programs in January.
•  The Purple Eagles set season-highs in points (95), rebounds (51), and in 3-pointers (13) en route to a 95-90 victory over the Iona Gaels on January 11 for their first home win the series in six seasons.
•  Niagara has won the last two meetings, which is its longest streak since winning four straight from 2006-08.
•  Niagara is in search of three straight wins at Iona from the first time since winning three straight from December 2006 to February 2009. Niagara spoiled the Gaels' home opener in 2016 with a 74-58 victory and rallied to edge Iona, 85-84, last season.
 • In seven career meetings against Iona, Marvin Prochet is averaging 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds. He has scored in double figures in six games and has two double-doubles.

•  Marvin Prochet is third in the MAAC in scoring with a career-high 17.5 points per game and is second in rebounding with 7.3 boards per game.  He is on pace to setting the program single-season 3-point field goal percent record as his career-high 45.2 three-point FG percent leads the league. Prochet also leads the MAAC in 3-pointers per game (2.9) and is shooting a career-high 44.7 percent from the field.
•  Dominic Robb is seven blocks away from tying Joe Arlauckas ('87), who finished his career with 220 blocks, for most blocks in program history.
•  Dominic Robb leads the MAAC in total blocks (57) and blocks per game (2.4) while ranking tenth and 16th, respectively, in those categories nationally. Robb's 57 blocks are eighth most in program history.
•  James Towns is third in the MAAC in free throw percentage with a career-high 81.8 percent. Towns is also averaging career-high numbers in assists per game (3.9) and in assist/turnover ratio (1.7) which are seventh and third, respectively, in the MAAC.
•  Five Purple Eagles netted double figures against Quinnipiac on February 3 for the third time this season.
•  Raheem Solomon has scored in double figures in five of the last six games. He is averaging 11 points per game and shooting 46 percent from 3-pointers in the last six games.
•  The Purple Eagles lead the MAAC and ranks the top-40 in the nation in free throw percentage (.748). The program record is 76.5 percent set during the 1987-88 season.
•  Niagara is second in the conference in blocks per game (3.7), total blocks (89), fewest turnovers (286), and in turnovers per game (11.9),
•  According to KenPom.com, the Purple Eagles rank sixth in the nation in opponent free throw rate (23.9) which captures a team's ability to get to the free-throw line.

Iona Gaels (7-15, 5-6 MAAC)
•  After falling to Niagara on January 11, the Gaels are 3-5 in their last eight games including a current four-game losing streak. 
 • Iona has the top scoring offense in the conference, averaging 77.9 points per game. The Gaels are second in free throw percentage (.733) and third in field goal percentage (.455).
•  The Gaels have four players averaging over 12 points per game this season - E. J. Crawford (17.9), Rickey McGill (15.2), Asante Gist (12.2) and Tajuan Agee (12.1).
 
Against The Gaels (Iona Leads 47-37)
•  The Purple Eagles have back-to-back wins over the Gaels for the first time since winning four straight in the series from 2006-08.
•  Niagara's 95-90 win over Iona on Jan. 11 marked the team's first home win in the series since beating Iona, 93-90, in overtime on Jan. 31, 2013.
•  A win on Saturday would give the Purple Eagles their first sweep over the Gaels in a single season since the 2007-08 campaign.
