    After a two-game road weekend, the Niagara Purple Eagles are back at the Gallagher Center for a pair of games starting on Friday, February 15 at 7 p.m. against the Manhattan Jaspers.
 
Scene Setter
•  After closing out January with wins versus Monmouth and Canisius, the Purple Eagles remain in search of their first win in February.
•  In the first meeting between the Purple Eagles and Jaspers on January 5, Niagara was unable to hold on to a double-digit second half lead at Manhattan to fall 90-80 in its conference opener.
•  The home team in the series has won nine of the last 10 meetings.
 
Tipoff Tidbits
•  Marvin Prochet is third in the MAAC in scoring with a career-high 17.5 points per game and in rebounding with 7.4 boards per game.  He is on pace to setting the program single-season 3-point field goal percent record as his career-high 46.2 three-point FG percent LEADS the league. Prochet also LEADS the MAAC in 3-pointers per game (3.0) and is shooting a career-high 44.4 percent from the field.
•  Marvin Prochet has scored in double figures in 21 of the 22 games played.
•  Dominic Robb is seven blocks away from tying Joe Arlauckas ('87), who finished his career with 220 blocks, for most blocks in program history.
•  Dominic Robb LEADS the MAAC in total blocks (57) and blocks per game (2.4) while ranking 16th and 20th, respectively, in those categories nationally. Robb's 57 blocks are eighth most in program history.
•  Niagara drained a season-high 15 three-pointers at Iona on February 10, which are two shy of tying the program record for 3-pointers in a game. The Purple Eagles have made 10-plus 3-pointers in nine games this season.
•  James Towns is second in the MAAC in free throw percentage with a career-high 81.8 percent. Towns is also averaging career-high numbers in assists per game (3.9) and in assist/turnover ratio (1.7).
•  Raheem Solomon has scored in double figures in six of the last seven games. He is averaging 10.9 points per game and shooting 44.7 percent from 3-pointers in the last seven games.
•  Marcus Hammond led the Purple Eagles in scoring at Iona on February 10 with a career-high 18 points. The Queens, N.Y. native shot a career-best 78 percent from the field and made a career-high four 3-pointers on five attempts.
•  The Purple Eagles LEAD the MAAC and ranks the top-40 in the nation in free throw percentage (.748). The program record is 76.5 percent set during the 1987-88 season.
•  Niagara is second in the conference in blocks per game (3.7), total blocks (92), rebounds per game (35.8), and in turnovers per game (12.1).
•  According to KenPom.com, the Purple Eagles rank ninth in the nation in opponent free throw rate (24.3) which captures a team's ability to get to the free-throw line.
 
On The Court
Manhattan Jaspers (7-17, 5-7 MAAC)
•  The Jaspers had their three-game winning streak snapped on February 8.
 • Manhattan currently has the top scoring defense in the MAAC this season (62.8 points per game). The team is also second in the conference in field goal percentage defense (.435) and steals per game (7.3).
•  Warren Williams, who is averaging 7.8 ppg this season, is second in field goal percentage among MAAC leaders this season (.532).                                                                    
•  Samir Stewart (6.1 ppg) is second in the conference this season in three-point field goal percentage (.440).
 
Against The Jaspers (Manhattan Leads 53-33)
•  The Jaspers have won five of the last six games in the series dating back to Jan. 17, 2016.
• Niagara is 4-2 in the last six home contests dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season.
