The Niagara Purple Eagles will play their first home game of the season when they host the Bryant Bulldogs on Monday, November 18 at 7 p.m.
Scene Setter
• The Purple Eagles ushered in a new era with first-year head coach
Greg Paulus taking over the program. The former Duke standout joined the staff in May 2019 as an assistant coach after coaching stops at George Washington, Louisville, Ohio State, and Navy.
• The Purple Eagles started their 2019-20 campaign with three straight road contests – Drexel, Rutgers, and Stephen F. Austin.
• Niagara's two home games in November and December are the program's fewest home games since the 1993-94 season. NU did not have a single home game in either November or December and played their first home game on January 6, 1994.
• Since the 2003-04 season, the Purple Eagles are 12-4 in home openers including winning three of their last four home openers.
Tipoff Tidbits
• Niagara had season-highs in points (80), 3-pointers (8), free throws (22), rebounds (29), assists (16), and steals (6) against Stephen F. Austin. The Purple Eagles shot over 55 percent (55.6 %) from the field for the first time since February 23, 2018.

Noah Waterman led the Purple Eagles with a career-high 15 points in his first career start at Stephen F. Austin. He also grabbed three rebounds, added two assists and had one block in 35 minutes of action.

Justin Roberts has increased his scoring total in each game this season, including scoring a career-high 11 points at Stephen F. Austin.

Shandon Brown is second in the MAAC in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.25).
• The Purple Eagles are shooting over 34 percent from 3-point range which is second among MAAC members.

James Towns and
Raheem Solomon were both selected to the 2019-20 Preseason All-Big 4 Second Team. It was the second straight season Towns has been named to the Preseason All-Big 4 Second Team.
• Niagara was picked tenth in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
• NU faces a challenging non-conference schedule with matchups at Syracuse, Rutgers, Buffalo and St. Bonaventure. The Purple Eagles start their 20-game MAAC schedule in January and the pursuit for a MAAC Tournament title begins on March 10 at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Bryant Bulldogs (3-2, 0-0 NEC)
• The Bulldogs were picked sixth in the NEC Preseason Coaches Poll after going 10-20 (7-11 NEC) last season. Senior guard Adam Grant was named to the NEC Preseason All-Conference Team.
• Bryant has won its last three games with wins over Cornell, Saint Peter's and Northern Vermont-Lyndon.
• The Bulldogs lead the nation in total 3-pointers made (58), total 3-point field goal attempts (161), and total assists (92). The Bulldogs also lead the NEC in assists per game, free throw attempts, defensive rebounds per game, rebound margin, scoring margin, scoring offense, steals per game, 3-pointer per game, blocks, and turnovers forced.
