The Niagara Purple Eagles return to the Gallagher Center after a three-game road swing to face the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Thursday, February 8 at 7 p.m.
 
Scene Setter
•  Niagara went 2-1 on its three-game road swing from January 27 to February 4 with victories over rival Canisius and against Monmouth.
•  NU sits in fourth place with an 8-4 conference record, two games ahead of Manhattan and Quinnipiac, and one back of Iona for third place.
•  Niagara's 15 wins through 25 games are the most since posting 19 wins through 25 games in the 2008-09 season.
•  The Purple Eagles are 8-2 in their last 10 games, including a five-game win streak from January 5-18.
•  Niagara erased a 10-point second half deficit with a 25-5 game-changing run over a nine-minute span to defeat Quinnipiac, 81-73, on January 18. The victory extended Niagara's win streak to five and its road win streak to six games.

•  The Purple Eagles LEAD the MAAC in points per game (82.8), total blocks (110), blocks per game (4.4), and in fewest turnovers per game (11.3). Niagara LEADS the NCAA in free throws made (469) and free throw attempts.
•  Matt Scott is ninth on the all-time list with 1,679 points and is five points behind Ed Fleming ('55) for eight. Scott ranks 26th among active scorers in NCAA Division I.
•  Kahlil Dukes led all scorers with a career-high with 37 points at Monmouth on February 4. The 37 points are tied for the most in the MAAC this season and most by a Purple Eagle
since Antoine Mason's 38 points against Marist on March 6, 2014.
•  Marvin Prochet LEADS the conference in rebounds per game (7.7) and defensive rebounds per game (5.7). Prochet's seven 10-rebound games LEAD the MAAC along with teammate Matt Scott.
•  Kahlil Dukes LEADS the conference in free throw percentage (.913), in 3-point field goal percentage (.441), 3-pointers per game (3.1), and total 3-pointers made (79). Dukes is fourth in the NCAA in career active free throw percentage (.912).
•  Kahlil Dukes' 17 20-point games LEAD the MAAC and are tied for seventh most in the NCAA.
•  Matt Scott's 17 career double-doubles LEAD all active MAAC players.
•  Kahlil Dukes has made 27 straight free throws which ties a program record set by Calvin Murphy during the 1969-70 season.
•  Dominic Robb is tied with James Reaves for fifth place on the career blocks list with 143.
•  Four Purple Eagles are averaging double figures in MAAC games – Kahlil Dukes (20.6 ppg), Matt Scott (16.3 ppg), Marvin Prochet (11.1 ppg), and James Towns (10.5 ppg).
•  The Purple Eagles' 105 points at Canisius are the most in the MAAC this season.

Quinnipiac Bobcats (9-15, 6-6 MAAC)
•  After losing to Niagara on January 18, Quinnipiac went 3-2 in its next five games including a three-game winning streak. 
•  Three Bobcats are averaging double figures - Cameron Young (18.0 ppg), Chaise Daniels (12.0 ppg), and Rich Kelly (10.0 ppg).
•  Freshman Rich Kelly has been named MAAC Rookie of the Week twice this season.
•  10 of Quinnipiac's games have been decided by two points or less or in overtime. Quinnipiac is 6-4 in those 10 games. 
  
Against the Bobcats (Quinnipiac Leads 9-4)
•  The Purple Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak to the Quinnipiac Bobcats when they topped the Bobcats in the 2017 MAAC Tournament First Round.
