The Niagara Purple Eagles, winners of seven of their last eight, start a two-game New Jersey road swing against the Saint Peters Peacocks on Friday, February 2 at 7 pm.
Scene Setter
• NU set season-highs in points, field goal percentage, free throws made, 3-pointers made, and in 3-point field goal percentage en route to defeating rival Canisius, 105-89, on January 27.
• Niagara boasts the second most overall wins (14) in the conference and sits in a tie for third place with a 7-3 MAAC record.
• Niagara went 7-1 in the month of January for its best January mark since going 9-1 in 2013.

• After losing to Niagara on January 14, the Peacocks have dropped their last four games to extend their losing streak to six games. Three of the last four games have been decided by less than four points, including a triple-overtime defeat at Siena in their most recent game.
• Three Peacocks are averaging double figures, led by preseason All-MAAC Third Team selection Nick Griffin (13.8 ppg), Davauhnte Turner (11.7 ppg), and Samuel Idowu (11.1 ppg).

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The MAAC's top two leading scorers, Matt Scott and Kahlil Dukes, combined for 44 points as the Purple Eagles grinded out a 73-70 win over the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Sunday to extend their win streak to four games.
