The Niagara men's soccer team concludes its season-opening seven-game road trip on Friday, Sept. 15 as they face off against the James Madison Dukes. The match is slated to kick off at 7 p.m.

Purple Points
- Last weekend, the Purple Eagles battled in the Mayor's Cup against the Robert Morris Colonials and Hartwick Hawks. Asante Carroll scored twice in the second half to help Niagara to their first win of the season, 2-1 over the Colonials on Sept. 8, putting the Purple Eagles in position to take the tournament championship against Hartwick.
- After allowing a goal late in the first half, Carroll tied the game in the 51st minute after tapping a loose ball into an open net following a free kick. Less than ten minutes later, Carroll gave the Purple Eagles the 2-1 lead after a solo effort, finishing far post on the goalie.
- Niagara closed out the Mayor's Cup with a gut-wrenching defeat to host Hartwick 1-0 on Sept. 10. Bautista Pedezert and Zulfikar Karimi both tallied two shots on goal for the Purple Eagles.
- Goalkeeper Joel Gerberich accumulated a total of nine saves in the tournament, finishing the two games with a 1.00 goals-against average and .818 save percentage.
- With four straight starts for the Purple Eagles, Gerberich increased his total saves this season to 20 along with a 2.00 goals-against average.
- Carroll now leads the team this season in points (four) and goals (two). Karimi is second with three points and leads the team respectively in total shots (11) and shots on goal (seven).

Across the Pitch
James Madison Dukes (2-2-1)
- James Madison faces Niagara for the first time in program history.
- In their last game, the Dukes fell on the road to Navy 3-1. After tying the game at 1-1 in the 56th minute, James Madison allowed two goals in the final four minutes of regulation.
- Senior Joe Vyner leads the team with six points, tallying a goal and four assists. His four assists are tied for sixth most in the country. Sophomore Ben Dao is second on the team with four points behind his team high two goals.
- Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper TJ Bush has played every minute this season for the Dukes, accumulating 19 saves, two shutouts, and a 1.15 goals against average.
