CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Niagara baseball team earned a shutout win over La Salle, 9-0, in its final game of the University of Virginia Tournament on Sunday.

Game Recap
- Niagara got off to a quick start in the bottom of the first inning with scores from Cullen and Wyatt Olson to take a 2-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the second, with two runners on base, Tanner Kirwer doubled down the right field line to score Geoff Seto. Julian Gallup then scored on a passed ball to put NU up, 4-0.
- Niagara got ahead 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth after Langlois singled through the right side to send home Cullen and Kirwer.
- Scores from Joseph Tevlin and Owen Dziados in the bottom of the seventh and eighth, respectively, cemented the 9-0 win for Niagara.
Inside the Numbers
- This is the Purple Eagles' third shutout win on the season so far.
- Cullen led Niagara with two runs. He also had two hits and one RBI.
- Langlois had a team-high three hits and three RBI.
