TicketsAfter a four-game road trip, the Niagara Purple Eagles return home for the first time in 2016 to welcome the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Thursday, January 7 at 7 p.m.

Tipoff Tidbits• The Purple Eagles are 1-3 in the MAAC. NU opened its conference road portion of its schedule with defeats at Siena (75-63) on January 2 and Iona (65-52) on January 4.
• NU split its MAAC opening weekend in December at the Gallagher Center. The Purple Eagles improved to 14-13 all-time in MAAC openers when they defeated Quinnipiac, 76-72, on December 4 before falling to Monmouth, 56-42, on December 6.
• The Purple Eagles' last home game was an 80-79 overtime defeat to LIU Brooklyn on December 12. The Purple Eagles are 2-3 at home this season.

Marvin Prochet averaged 13.5 points per game, shot over 55 percent from the field, and had a team-leading 5.5 rebounds per game in Niagara's two conference road games against Siena and Iona.
• Thursday's game features two of the top three overall scoring defenses in the conference. Saint Peter's is second at 69.1 points per game and Niagara is third at 71.4 points per game. In MAAC only games, SPU is first (63.0) and NU is third (67.0).
• Through four conference games, the Purple Eagles lead the MAAC in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.291).

Emile Blackman leads the team in scoring and is 11th in the MAAC with 15.3 points per game. Blackman has scored in double figures in 12 games this season.

Matt Scott leads the Purple Eagles in rebounds (95-6.3 per game), assists (42-2.8 per game), steals (23-1.5 per game) and free throws made (60-4.0 per game).

Chris Casey was an assistant coach at Saint Peter's from 1990-98 where he helped the Peacocks to the 1991 and 1995 MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. Casey is 2-2 against Saint Peter's as head coach at Niagara.
