NIAGARA TIDBITS
•   Niagara enters Friday's contest 3-4, having won its first game of the season on Friday, Feb. 27 against Cincinnati after dropping a 14-7 decision to Lehigh in the season-opener. Despite keeping the score at 1-0 for the first 20 minutes of the contest and holding the No. 14 Ohio State to its third least number of goals scored in a game all year, the Purple Eagles fell in a 15-2 decision to the Buckeyes on Mar. 1.
• Niagara then dropped a 21-4 decision to the No. 4 Florida Gators on Mar. 7 before edging Stetson, 10-9. Most recently, the Purple Eagles fell to the Michigan Wolverines, 15-8, on Mar. 14 before taking down Little 3 Rival St. Bonaventure, 16-12.
• The Purple Eagles offense runs through seniors Carrie-Jo Farrugia and Erin Patenaude as well as sophomore Taylor Wolf.  Farrugia leads the squad with 10 goals and five assists, while her teammates Patenaude (7g, 6a) and Wolf (11g, 2a) both have 13 points on the season.  Senior Hannah Barnett has also chipped in on offense with seven goals and three assists on the young season.
•   Danielle Maio leads the way with 28 draw controls won, while Jillian Ford has caused seven turnovers for the Purple and White.
•   Andrea Francisco has played just over 305 minutes after the seven games this season, making 32 saves for a 2-2-0 record. Amanda Yavorek made a career best eight saves in NU's loss to Ohio State. Overall, the sophomore has made 14 saves in 113 minutes of play, posting a goals against average of 14.31 and a save percentage of .341.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Purple Eagles defeated Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure, 16-12, to earn its third victory of the season in its home opener on Mar. 17.
• Freshman Grace Hunt impressed the crowd in her home debut, making all of her shots and finishing with a team-high four goals.
• Niagara put together its best offensive showing to date with season-highs in goals (16) and assists (7).  Hunt led a slew of seven players in the scoring column—including five players with at least three points in the game.  Erin Patenaude and Brittany Delano both had a trio of goals and a pair of assists while Danielle Maio and Carrie-Jo Farrugia contributed two goals and a helper as well. Hannah Barnett and Jillian Ford also helped out on the offensive end after adding one goal each.

SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
•  The Purple Eagles will have some extra motivation on Friday, March 20, when they face Robert Morris as NU looks to avenge its 16-13 season opener loss to the Colonials last year. Kristin Yoviene led the game with three goals and three assists against Niagara last season, while Corey Karawacki and Brittany Byerly each recorded a hat trick.
• RMU recently dropped a 16-4 decision to Oregon before going on a four-game winning streak against Detroit, Delaware State, Howard and Cincinnati. The Colonials fell in their season opener match, 17-16, against the Duquesne Dukes.
• Robert Morris has been strongest in the first half of play, outscoring opponents 52-28, while RMU's goal differential in the second half is just 46-33.
• Yoviene leads all players with 29 points, 14 goals and 15 assists to go with a .452 shooting percentage, while C. Karwacki is second on the team with 23 points (15g, 8a). Jessica Karwacki averages 13.7 draw controls per game to lead the nation through six games.
• Goaltending duties belong to Mackenzie Duffy and Hallie Yancey.  In 291 minutes of play, Duffy has made 39 saves for an 11.34 goals against average and a .415 save percentage. Yancey has made 11 saves on the year after only playing 76 minutes so far this season.

ALL-TIME AGAINST THE COLONIALS
 •    Robert Morris holds a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series against Niagara that began back during the 2005 season.
 •   The Purple Eagles fell to the Colonials in last year's season opener, 16-13, at Joe Walton Stadium.  Taylor Wolf pocketed a three-goal afternoon in her debut in the Purple and White, while fellow newcomers Hannah Barnett and Erin Patenaude also had impressive starts to their Niagara careers, as Barnett netted a pair of goals and Patenaude added three points off two goals and an assist.
