• Niagara, which led for 34:14 in the game, sealed the win with a pair of free throws by
Emile Blackman with six seconds remaining.

Matt Scott has scored in double figures in every game this season. Scott leads the Purple Eagles in scoring with 17.6 points per game.
• Common Theme: NU has led at halftime in all three wins this season (Brown, North Carolina A&T, Quinnipiac).
• The Purple Eagles made a season-high 10 3-pointers, with eight coming in the first half, against Youngstown State.
• The Purple Eagles held Brown to a 30.7 field goal percentage, which is the lowest allowed by a MAAC team this season.

Back To The MAAC• Niagara began its 27th season in the MAAC on Friday, Dec. 4 as the conference celebrates its 35th year anniversary.
• NU has a 233-214 MAAC record and has won four regular season championships and two conference tournament titles.Â
• The Purple Eagles improved to 14-13 in MAAC openers and 18-9 in their first home MAAC game with their win over Quinnipiac on Dec. 4.

20/20 Vision• Two Purple Eagles scored 20 points in a game for the first time in three seasons when
Emile Blackman and
Matt Scott shared team-high honors with 20 points in the win over Quinnipiac on Dec. 4.
• The last pair to score 20-plus points in a game was Antoine Mason (26) and Tahjere McCall (23) versus Rider on Jan. 12, 2014.

Efficient Offense Leads To Season-Highs • The Purple Eagles recorded several season-highs in the win over Quinnipiac.
• NU scored a season-high 76 points, and had season-highs with 17 assists, a 57.4 (27-for-47) field goal percent, 50 (7-for-14) 3-point field goal percent and 83.3 (15-for-18) free throw percent.

• The Hawks are currently ranked seventh in the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, and have received votes in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll.
• The Hawks have wins over then-No. 17 Notre Dame, UCLA and USC this season.
• Monmouth leads the MAAC in free throws made (139) and free throw percentage (.803), and second in 3-point field goal percentage (.375).
• Junior guard Justin Robinson was named Lou Henson National Player of the Week, MAAC and ECAC Player of the Week. Robinson leads the MAAC in scoring (24.6) and in steals (2.9).
• Other key contributors are freshman Micah Seaborn, who was recently named MAAC Rookie of the Week, junior Je'lon Hornbeak and senior Deon Jones.
• Monmouth opened its conference schedule with a 96-86 defeat to Canisius on Friday.

Against the Hawks (Monmouth leads, 4-1)• The first meeting between the two programs was during the 2008-09 season, which Niagara won 71-48 in the Philly Hoop Group Classic in Philadelphia, Pa.
• The Purple Eagles have lost all four meetings since the Hawks joined the MAAC at the start of the 2013-14 season.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Niagara Purple Eagles opened their MAAC road weekend with a 69-58 setback to the Monmouth Hawks on Friday night.
