Live StatsThe Niagara Purple Eagles, who are 1-0 in MAAC road games, will travel east on the I-90 to face the Siena Saints on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. The game will air live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
NU heads back on the road after going 2-2 during its four-game homestand with wins over Albany and Manhattan. The Purple Eagles will play their first road MAAC game since defeating Saint Peter's in the final minutes, 61-59, seven weeks ago.
NU had won four straight in the series with Siena before being swept in the two meetings last season. The Purple Eagles, who lead the all-time series 46-45, have only one win in their last 10 trips to Siena.

Tipoff Tidbits• Matt Scott was named MAAC Rookie Of The Week on Jan. 5 after averaging 10 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game. Scott is the first freshman to win rookie of the week honors since TJ Cline won the award three times during the 2012-13 season.
• Dominique Reid had game and career-highs with 18 points and with 11 rebounds en route to his first career double-double against Monmouth on Jan. 4. In Niagara's last four games, Reid is averaging a team-best 11 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game.
• The freshman trio of Matt Scott, Karonn Davis and Dominique Reid accounted for 49 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the 73-61 win over Manhattan. Scott scored a game-high and Purple Eagle season-high 23 points, Davis added 14 points and six rebounds, while Reid scored 12 points and had a team- and career-best five assists
• Niagara had five players – Rayvon Harris, Ramone Snowden, Emile Blackman, Wesley Myers and Dominique Reid - in double figures against Arkansas State for the first time since Feb. 7, 2014 against Iona.
• Ramone Snowden dished out a career-high seven assists against Arkansas State. The seven assists are the most since Tahjere McCall had seven versus Manhattan on Feb. 9, 2014.
• The Purple Eagles had season-highs in points (73), first half points (42), field goal percentage (59.5%), 3-point field goal percentage (53.8%) and in assists (21) in the win over Manhattan.
• Niagara's 21 assists against Manhattan are the most since having 21 versus Saint Peter's on March 2, 2013.
• Wesley Myers has scored in double figures in six of the last seven games.
• Niagara had a season-high +10 rebound margin in the win over Albany.
• According to KenPom.com, Niagara is the
SIXTH youngest team in the nation. NU has 13 underclassmen on the roster.              Â

• The Purple Eagles went 9-1 during the 2012-13 season for their best record in the month since 7-0 during the 1958-59 season.

Scott Earns MAAC Rookie Of The Week Award• Freshman guard Matt Scott was tabbed MAAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week on Jan. 5
• Scott averaged 10 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game as the Niagara Purple Eagles went 2-1 last week.Â
• In Niagara's win over Manhattan on Jan. 2, Scott scored a game-high 23 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field, 2-for-4 behind the arc and went 7-for-10 at the free-throw line. His 23 points are the most by a Purple Eagle this season.Â
• For the week, Scott shot 47 percent from the field, 33 percent from behind the 3-point line and 77 percent from the free-throw line.
