Vincent Muto is participating in the Montreal Canadiens annual development camp from July 7-11 at the Bell Sports Complex.
Muto is one of 50 players selected for the camp which includes 28 forwards, 17 defensemen and five goalies. The list of players include prospects drafted by the Canadiens organization, players acquired by trades or free agency, and invite on a try-out basis.
Muto was a solid and reliable player on the blue line in his first season as a Purple Eagle and established himself as one of the top offensive defensemen in the league. The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native saw action in 37 games while amassing 19 points on five goals and 14 assists, which ranked him fifth on the team in scoring and was tops among NU defensemen. His standout freshman season earned him Atlantic Hockey Association All-Rookie Team honors.
