NIAGARA TIDBITS• The Purple Eagles last played at Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Wednesday, Apr. 9, falling to Marist, 19-7. With two weeks remaining in the regular season, Niagara holds a 1-2 MAAC record and a 5-6 overall mark.
• Carrie-Jo Farrugia leads the Purple Eagles with 34 points this season, two shy of tying her career-high. The junior has scored a career-best 24 goals, while adding 10 assists.
Maria Battista is not far behind in the goal department, finding the back of the net 22 times, while freshman
Erin Patenaude is tied with Farrugia for the team lead in helpers (10).
• Freshman goalkeeper
Andrea Francisco has played in 10 games on the season and has seen the majority of the action in net. Francisco has 53 saves on the season and has posted a 13.94 goals against average and a .340 save percentage.
LAST TIME OUT• Niagara fell to below .500 in conference action after falling to the Marist Red Foxes on Wednesday by a score of 19-7 at Leonidoff Field.
• The Purple Eagles' offense was led by
Carrie-Jo Farrugia with two goals and an assist, while six different NU players scored the other seven tallies.
Paige Matecki contributed an assist in the contest, while leading the team in draw control wins (7).

Andrea Francisco started the contest, making one save in 34 minutes, before
Paige Sasser took over goaltending duties. The senior made four saves in the remainder of the game.
TAKING A LOOK AT IONA• The Gaels come to Monteagle Ridge looking for their first conference win of the 2014 campaign. Iona, who is 1-11 overall, has dropped contests to Canisius, Fairfield and Marist and most recently falling to Quinnipiac, 15-9.
• Three Gaels are tied for the team-lead in points as Erin Pugh, Meghan Testoni and Mary Kate McCormick have all pocketed 19 points in 11 games. Pugh is tops on the squad with 17 goals, while McCormick is first in helpers (7).
• Maria Ortiz has played in all 11 games in goal for Iona, posting a goals against average of 13.31, and a .464 save percentage.
ALL-TIME VS. IONA• The Gaels command a 7-2 all-time record against the Purple Eagles, including wins in the previous seven meetings after Niagara beat its conference rival in the opening two contests of the series that began in 2005.
• Last season Iona handed Niagara a 16-7 loss at Mazella Field on April 13. The Purple Eagles'

Danielle Maio each tallied a pair of goals, while
Carrie-Jo Farrugia added a score in the defeat.
Paige Sasser stopped 15 Iona shots on goal.
SEASON BESTS• Six Purple Eagles have recorded career-high numbers this season, including
Brittany Delano (9-4-13) and
Jaclyn Schreiber (4-1-5) who have pocketed career-bests in goals, assists and points.

UP NEXT FOR THE PURPLE AND WHITE• Niagara returns to Niagara Field on Wednesday, April 16 at 3 p.m. when the Purple Eagles welcome the Siena Saints.
• Including tomorrow's contest, the Purple Eagles will play four of the final five games of the regular season at Niagara Field, with the only away game coming on April 19 when NU takes on Manhattan in Riverdale, N.Y.
