NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara women's lacrosse team will welcome the St. Bonaventure Bonnies to Niagara Field Thursday, March 20 with game time scheduled for 4 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled to be played at McGraw Jennings Field at St. Bonaventure, N.Y.

NIAGARA TIDBITS
• Niagara will be looking for its first win in two games after falling to Binghamton, 17-7, and Duquesne, 19-6 which dropped the team's record to 2-3 on the season.
• The Purple Eagles have received offensive contributions from a handful of players, as
Erin Patenaude leads the way with eight goals and six assists for 4 points.
Carrie-Jo Farrugia (nine goals; two assists) and
Hannah Barnett (nine goals; one assist) have also been key to the attack.

Elizabeth Benedict is tops on the team with 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers, while
Kayla Smith has been dominant on the draw controls, winning 22.

Andrea Francisco has played the majority of minutes in between the pipes for Niagara, owning a 14.06 goals against average and a .342 save percentage.
LAST TIME OUT
• Niagara was handed a 19-6 defeat in non-conference play against the Duquesne Dukes last Sunday at the Demske Sports Complex.
• The Purple Eagle offense was led by
Brittany Delano and
Carrie-Jo Farrugia who each pocketed a pair of goals in the contest. Farrugia added an assist for a three-point evening, while
Maria Battista and
Erin Patenaude added a score as well.

Andrea Francisco was given the start, making five stops in 43 minutes of play.
Paige Sasser took over goaltending duties and made two stops for the remainder of the game.
ABOUT ST. BONAVENTURE
• St. Bonaventure comes to Monteagle Ridge looking for its first win of the 2014 campaign (0-4), recently dropping a 16-7 contest to Siena on Sunday, March 16.
• The team is led by Mikayla Place who has netted five goals and a pair of assists for seven points, while Taylor Fallon is not far with six points (six goals).
• Goaltending duties belong to Sara Schlagenhauf. In 240 minutes of play the senior has made 39 saves for a 15.00 goals against average and a .394 save percentage.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BONNIES
• St. Bonaventure holds a commanding 11-1 advantage over the Purple Eagles in the all-time series that started in 2001.
• Last season Niagara secured its first victory over the Bonnies in program history, dropping its Little 3 rival, 9-7.
• With less than one minute remaining in the contest and the Purple Eagles down by one, Niagara tallied three quick scores to pull ahead by two goals for their second consecutive victory for the first time since the 2009 season.

Carrie-Jo Farrugia secured four points with a pair of goals and assists.
Danielle Maio (2-0-0) and
Paige Matecki (0-2-2) also pocketed a multiple-point night en route to the victory.
