NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara hockey begins the final three weeks of regular season play with a home-and-home series against former College Hockey America foe Robert Morris on Thursday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at 7:05 p.m. Thursday's game will take place at Dwyer Arena, while Saturday's contest is set for the 84 Lumber Arena.
After wrapping up the season series against Canisius last weekend and extending their unbeaten streak to three, the Purple Eagles stand at 9-15-4 overall and 9-8-4 in the AHA, putting it in sixth place, eight points behind league-leading Mercyhurst. Niagara and Canisius played to a 4-4 overtime tie on Feb. 6 before the Purple and White dropped its cross-town rival 4-2 on Feb. 8.

• Thursday's game at Dwyer will be available on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel with Dave Miller and Andrew Peters on the call, and Sal Capaccio reporting from the sideline.
• Niagara's games against Robert Morris on Thursday and Saturday will be broadcast live on 1340 WLVL, with Jeremy White covering Thursday's game, and Paul Hamilton taking over radio duties for Saturday's tilt in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Isaac Kohls and
Hugo Turcotte are neck-in-neck when it comes to who leads the Purple Eagle statistical board. Kohls is tops on the team in points (22), and goals (11), while Turcotte, who has 21 points on the season, is tied for the team lead in assists with Vince Muto (12).
Ryan Rashid has also been a key offensive contributor, pocketing nine goals and nine assists in 8 games.

• Freshmen goaltenders
Jackson Teichroeb (4-9-2) and
Adrian Ignagni (5-6-2) have split time between the pipes in 28 games thus far, with Teichroeb owning a .904 save percentage and a 2.89 goals-against average and Ignagni standing at a .903 save percentage and a 3.04 goals-against average.
LAST TIME OUT
• Niagara hockey could not hold onto a two-goal lead against cross-town rival Canisius and had to settle for a 4-4 stalemate in game one at Dwyer Arena. On Feb. 8 NU trailed the Griffs heading into the final frame at Buffalo State Sports Arena, but the Purple Eagles pocketed a three-goal third period to drop Canisius, 4-2 to take the season series (2-0-1).

Vincent Muto (0-2-2) and
Hugo Turcotte (1-1-2) each had a two-point evening in game one, while
Matt Williams scored his first goal on the season.
Jackson Teichroeb pushed aside a career-high 40 shots.
• Junior forward
Sam Alfieri posted a three-point performance in the victory while
Matt Chiarantano scored the game-winning goal.
Patrick Divjak also contributed offensively with two points (1-1-2).
Adrian Ignagni earned the start in game two, making 22 stops.
SERIES HISTORY
• The Purple Eagles and Colonials have played 48 times since first meeting in the 2004-05 season, and Niagara holds an 27-12-9 advantage.
• NU was 2-1 against Robert Morris in its three meetings last season. Game one this season ended in a 3-3 tie at 84 Lumber Arena.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
• Robert Morris currently owns an 11-13-4 overall mark, while holding an 11-6-4 AHA record. The Colonials sit in fifth place in the AHA standings with 26 points.
• RMU is currently riding a nine-game unbeaten streak, going 7-0-2 in that span. The unbeaten streak, which is the second longest in the nation, is the longest in program history, surpassing an eight-game streak during the 2011-12 season.
• The Colonials are averaging 3.18 goals a game and are allowing 2.93, placing them 15th and 39th in the nation, respectively.

• Terry Shafer has been the go to netminder for the Colonials, making 727 saves for a 2.80 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.
