TicketsThe Niagara Purple Eagles will host the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. to begin their four-game homestand during the holiday season.
Niagara, which is in a midst of a six-game losing streak, will play its next four games on the Frank and Barbara Layden Court at the Gallagher Center. The Purple Eagles will be looking to avoid starting 0-3 at the Gallagher Center since losing four straight to begin their home schedule during the 2006-07 season; that team went on to win the 2007 MAAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
The Purple Eagles and Red Wolves met for the first time last season in Jonesboro, Ark. where the host came away with an 86-61 victory.

Tipoff Tidbits• Niagara's non-conference schedule is one of the toughest in the nation. The Purple Eagles' non-conference schedule is ranked third by both ESPN Daily RPI and RPI Forecast (Live-RPI) and is eighth by KenPom.com. Niagara's opponents combined record is 53-25.
• Wesley Myers set a career-high in 3-pointers with four triples at Buffalo on Dec. 19. His four 3-pointers are the most by a Purple Eagle this season.
• Freshman Matt Scott led the Purple Eagles in scoring versus Canisius on Dec. 6 with a career-high 13 points while going perfect from the field (5-for-5), behind the 3-point line (2-for-2) and at the free-throw line (1-for-1).
• Redshirt sophomore Emile Blackman led all scorers with 21 points at St. John's on Dec. 2, which are the most by a Purple Eagle this season. Blackman leads the team in scoring with 12.3 ppg.
• Sophomore Ramone Snowden recorded his second double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds at St. John's on Dec. 2. Snowden, who has already doubled his total from last season, ranks fourth in the MAAC in double-doubles.
• The Purple Eagles have committed the fewest fouls (165) and the second fewest turnovers (112) in the MAAC.
• According to KenPom.com, Niagara is the
SIXTH youngest team in the nation. NU has 13 underclassmen on the roster.
Carom Carousel• Ramone Snowden leads the team and is fifth in the MAAC with 7.5 rebounds per game.
• He is also fourth in the conference and 58th in the nation in defensive rebounds with 5.88 per game.
• Snowden is on pace for the most rebounds in a season since Bilal Benn's 298 (9.9 per game) during the 2009-10 season.
• Snowden has the top two rebounding outputs of the season for Niagara with 12 at St. John's and 11 at Saint Peter's.
• He is one of 18 MAAC players with multiple double-digit rebounds games.
On The CourtArkansas State Red Wolves (4-4, 0-0 Sun Belt Conference)• The Red Wolves have won their last two games entering Tuesday's night contest with wins at Mississippi State and at home versus Marshall.
• Three players are averaging in double figures - Anthon Livingston (16.5 ppg), Cameron Golden (14.8 ppg) and Sean Gardner (13.9 ppg).
• PJ Hardwick is second in the Sun Belt with 5.2 assists per game.
