Hockey Visits Roswell

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Members of the No. 17 Niagara hockey team visited the Roswell Park Cancer Institute last Wednesday to deliver toys donated by Purple Eagle fans.

The visit by the Purple Eagles helped support Carly’s Club for Kids & Cancer Research, which exists to offer support programs to make life more manageable for children diagnosed with cancer and their families, and to raise funds for pediatric cancer research seeking cures at Roswell Park.

After collecting teddy bears donated by the local community during a game, NU hockey team members Jason Beattie,  Matt Williams,  Jeff Hannan,  Ryan Murphy,  C.J. Chartrain,  Marc Zanette,  Carsen Chubak,  Matt Dineen,  Ryan Rashid and Kevin Ryan  took time to hand out the donated items and chat with children on the pediatric wing of Roswell Park.
