The Niagara Purple Eagles continue their home conference weekend on Sunday versus the Saint Peter's Peacocks at 2 p.m.
After six straight away games, NU (1-8, 0-1 MAAC) returned to the Gallagher Center on Friday for its MAAC opener against Siena. However, the Saints spoiled the Purple Eagles' homecoming as the Purple and White fell 84-71 to snap their four-game winning streak in the series. Niagara has another four-game winning streak against Sunday's opponent, Saint Peter's (2-5, 0-1 MAAC).
Sunday's meeting will be a battle of strength vs. strength. The high-scoring Purple Eagles are first in the MAAC in scoring at 80.3 points per game, while the Peacocks are second in the conference in scoring defense at 70.6 points per game.
